City Summer Recreation Program
In 1990, The City of Templeton began sponsoring a Summer Recreation Program for youth in the community. The program continues today and offers numerous activities targeted at children between the ages of 4 and 15. The program is operated with the assistance of City staff and several local residents who volunteer their time to help kids learn and enjoy various outdoor activities. Some of the activities offered include:
- Swim Lessons (in cooperation with the Manning Recreation Center)

- Golf Clinic
- Chalk it Up
