Housing Development

A Pattern Of Growth

Templeton is a growing community of over 360 residents who take great pride in their homes. New home construction has been constant over the past 30 years, with an average of 1-2 new homes built every year on a regular basis. Additionally, the City and many local residents have been vigilant about acquiring and removing houses that are at the end of their useful life.

The City of Templeton has participated in and helped sponsor several programs to encourage new home construction and rehabilitation of existing homes. For information on current programs that may be available, please contact City Hall at (712) 669-3443.

Westridge Subdivison

In 1997, the City of Templeton undertook the ambitious project of developing the Westridge Housing Subdivision on the west side of the community. The development originally included 18 lots, and several prime lots remain for sale today at only $9,500 per lot.
