The Templeton Community Betterment Association (TCBA) was chartered in 2005 to facilitate Templeton's Quasquicentennial (125 year) anniversary celebration in 2007. The organization now serves to raise and distribute funds for community-based projects and organize events and promotions that promote the community. Members in the organization include anyone residing in the City of Templeton, anyone having a Templeton mailing address, or anyone having a Templeton telephone number. The Board may also approve membership of other individuals or businesses that are located outside of the community or area that has strong ties to or business dealings in the community. There are no costs to be a member of the TCBA.
Since 2007, the TCBA has been very active through various events, fundraisers, and projects. The TCBA assisted in the "Templeton 5K Walk/Run" events that were held in 2008 and 2009. Starting in 2008, the TCBA has partnered with the Templeton Rye Distillery to host the "Rock and Rye" music concerts annually in July or August. The TCBA has also provided funding for projects around the community including the community signs and banners, the fire station façade improvements, and several others.
