The Templeton Telephone Company has grown and expanded dramatically since the first lines reached the city in 1884.

In 1988, the company expanded operations to install cable television for residents. An electronic digital switch was installed in 1990 and upgraded in 1997 to provide advanced calling services such as caller ID and last call return.

Nineteen miles of fiber optic cable have been installed since 1995. Templeton Telephone Company provides the city with many calling features, Internet access, and cable television, all for very reasonable rates.
